I just signed up for the knitter’s web ring. And while I actually stumbled across the web ring and some of the knitting blogs about a year ago, it just occurred to me tonight that I should sign up. Last year, the idea of knitting every day or having a blog devoted entirely to knitting seemed odd to me. Sure, I knew how to knit, but knitting a few scarves was something I did in the wintertime. It just didn’t occur to me to knit all year long or to knit anything other than a scarf. Knitting was seasonal in my world.
That was then, but now I’m an avid knitter, albeit a very slow one, and the idea of skipping a day from my hobby of choice is painful indeed. I’m hooked on knitting and reading knitting blogs. Knitting bloggers are some of the nicest people on the Internet. And I think they have the most fun as well.
I’m proud to join the ring. I don’t know what I was waiting for.
