Just a thought...(or two or three)
So you log on to your computer, intent on posting an entry to your blog. You want to share an interesting thought, a clever story, a witty idea, or an awesome knitting project with all your favorite people in the knit blogging community as well as the entire Internet. You've been kicking this blog topic around for some time and you cannot wait to share.
But first you decide to read just one of your favorite blogs. And before you know it just one blog becomes just several, which leads to just many, many blogs you have to read. It's now hours later and that clever idea you had? It's gone.
It's escaped from your mind as though it never existed.
You sit back in your chair and try to recreate the moment when you first logged on to your computer. You're sure you can remember what you wanted to say because it was going to be great. Surely you can recall if you just retrace your steps and thought processes.
After five or ten minutes you sigh a big sigh and you surrender to the fact that the idea has been forever sucked from your mind. Maybe it never existed at all. Or does this only happen to me?
Just a thank-you...
Sending a very special thank you to three recent commenters here at the Knit Once blog. Thanks to Marina for the words of wisdom on missing my boys. Sure, I still miss them, but I recognize that I am prone to being a bit of a whiny-butt who resists all change so I will shut up about it here. (Tough talk does a whiny-butt some good!)
Thanks to the ever supportive Lolly for the well wishes on the upcoming cert exam. I really need to ace this thing and I've been studying so much my brain is mush. (But me wonders that maybe a mushy brain is not a good plan for passing this thing?? )
And, finally, thanks to Anne for mentioning on her site that having HBO on Demand means one can watch Sex and the City whenever the mood hits. We've had the "on demand" thing for some time, but I thought it only applied to movies. I was quite surprised and amazed to find that this extends to other programming as well. Thanks, Anne! (I think this will be a good thing--maybe not!)
Just a reminder...
I almost hate to mention this here as you all will know how bad I've been, but this is a reminder to FINALLY pack up those Dulaan items and send them out. (Bad, I know...)
And Jan (no blog) reminded me via a comment that I did not post photos of the wonderful package I received from my SP4. It's totally unlike me to miss a photo opportunity as it makes for great blog fodder, but yet I have. I'll have to remedy this soon. (Thanks for the gentle reminder.)
Just a link...(or as I like to say, linkey link)
Also on my list of things to do, is updating the links in the right bar of this page. I haven't updated these links in some time and I know that several of the links are no longer valid because the site or the blogger has moved on.
Are you still reading this entry? Would you like to be linked? Because you know you deserve a link after this. =) Leave a comment (with your blog's URL) if you would like to be linkey linked and I will include you when I update the sidebar on Wednesday.
Got to love the On Demand - I watched the whole second half of the sixth season the other night - it makes for great knitting tv. By the way, my old url links to the new one, but if you want the direct one in your links, it's http://www.kniterati.org/blog/
