Hi! I was just surfing the Knitting Kitty webring when I ran into your blog. Very cool! In answer to your question about picking and throwing: you pick the yarn through the loop when you knit with the yarn in your left hand, which is called continental knitting, and you throw the yarn when you hold the yarn in your right hand, which is called english-style knitting. I have knit both ways and find that continental knitting is the fastest for me, but I have seen english knitters (no, not knitters from Great Britain...lol) go just as fast. Just thought I'd share!
