Sometimes it's hard to be upbeat and happy in light of the state of the world.

No kidding. I have to admire your bravery in watching that movie - there's no way I could ever do it. I can see the events of 9/11 in my mind so clearly, even five years later, that there's no need to see a movie about it.

I was so shocked when I heard of that adult man shooting the female children in the Amish schoolhouse. On some level, that feels like a more insidious madness than Sept 11th. Maybe because they were children? Maybe because it is more recent?

I recommend the Gilmore Girls as an antidote to gloom and doom.

I hear ya! I was crying after seeing Flight 93 a few weeks ago. I still can't look at newspapers and those documentaries on 9/11, I just get too upset.

I can't stand to watch the news anymore because it makes me have nightmares too. It makes a little out of touch with the world, but sometimes that's what I have to do to keep my sanity going!

Flight 93 is on my 'never watch' list - I'm sorry but I have nightmares enough about 9/11, I don't need to add a movie about it into the mix.
