What's so freaky about today?
Nothing really. It's just that I really feel like posting a random entry, but I know that today is the eye candy day, not the random day. Oh well, I can be random if I want to...
Knitting
I'll start with the random knitting content and it won't take long because I really don't have much. I've been knitting the sleeves of the Fair Isle Hoodie, but I'm plotting major changes to the pattern. For one thing, I'm afraid that the sweater is going to be too small. In comparing the back of the hoodie to the back of one of my favorite snug fitting sweaters, I find that the hoodie is not measuring up. I'm contemplating frogging the back and knitting it over. Do OVER! And while I'm at it I might modify the pattern in other ways, but I will save that part of the update for another day.
Sticky "F"
My "F" key keeps sticking on my keyboard. I have to take special care or I leave that letter out. So if I start talking about rogging, air Isle Hoodies, or Os instead of FOs, you know why. Is there any way to repair a sticky key? I'll have to Google it when I'm done typing my Random 'reak Day entry and if I 'ind something good, I'll be sure to share with my 'riends, all of you.
Halo Party
I'm holed up in my bedroom because my house has been invaded by soldiers of the digital variety. The Hubby is out o town on his yearly hunting trip, which is usually a peaceful time or me but the boys decided to host a Halo party. I just popped out to see if they needed anything--they don't. Apparently, all they need a couple of X-box 360s, a couple of pizzas, and a couple two-liters of pop for hours of entertainment and contentment. Guess I shouldn't throw stones -- heck, all most of us knitters need for entertainment and contentment is a ball of yarn and a couple sticks.
What's Wrong with the World
Eaa$$$$y M*c C*ps, as shown here. The "this is what is wrong with the world" thought popped into my mind when I saw those on the shelf at the grocery store tonight. I mean, do we seriously need this in a cup? Was it so hard to tear the little paper package and pour the contents into a bowl? Really? I'm not very fond of the stuff. The YS loves it, but he'll never get it in a cup. And I'm really just kidding about it being what's wrong with the world, but I am concerned with our need for speed and convenience when the landfills are already full of these "convenient" little cups.
Okay, enough of the freaky random stuff. Real post tomorrow?
Update: Oh, no!!!! The "V" key is sticking too now. It's contagious...
Are you using a laptop or desktop? If it's a laptop, re-seating the keyboard may do the trick. It worked on my Dell, and it was easy to do. Nervewracking...but easy. If it's a desktop, I don't know what's involved. Check your brand's support site/knowledge base, and I bet the problem is discussed. If not, google the problem....f key sticks dell insert model no. You'll find others who figured out how to fix it.
