I've been knitting away madly on the pink baby blanket and I've been plotting another "suede" baby hat, but I don't have much else to say. I guess the cat's still got my tongue. Or something. Actually, I think all the stress from our workload at the office is killing my ability to find anything interesting to talk about. If we were visiting in person, I would be focusing on you instead.
So why not do that here. During my recent blog travels, I kept track of a couple things that caught my attention:
First up, check out the site of Renee, of A Good Yarn fame, for her very creative red and pink projects for Project Spectrum, March. She really has an eye for color and both of her necklace combinations are fabulous.
As for knitting, does the thought of putting a zipper into a hand-knit item make you break out in a cold sweat? Me too. That is, it did until I found Claudia's very helpful step-by-step instructions complete with photos for those of us who are visually inclined, or imagination deficient (however you want to look at it). I really like the way she laid it all out and the tips she included within the instructions. Claudia stated that this is everything she knows about putting in a zipper and I think this is all I need to know to give it a try on a future project. I think I have just the project in mind too.
For something fun, check out Marina's name-the actress with the hand-knit-item game. I know she posted this last week, but I find it noteworthy because it's fun and observant. I admit that I don't pay that much attention when flipping through magazines--unless I'm looking at a knitting magazine, of course. Here's the answer to Marina's game.
And last, but NEVER least, I wrap up my What's Happening with You entry with Laurie's latest adventure: her plan to grow square watermelons in her backyard. If anyone can do it, Laurie can!
This was fun. It wasn't creative, but it was most definitely fun.
